Las estrategias metodológicas y la educación ambiental en los estudiantes de Educación General Básica Superior de la Unidad Educativa PCEI Juan León Mera del cantón Ambato

This research with the theme: "METHODOLOGICAL STRATEGIES AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN STUDENTS OF HIGHER BASIC GENERAL EDUCATION OF THE PCEI JUAN LEON MERA EDUCATION UNIT OF CANTON AMBATO ", is carried out because environmental education in recent years has been taking strength since there is a notoriety of the wear and tear of our environment, which has been caused by the lack of awareness in today's society, as well as the presence of the consumerist ideal; Therefore, this work aims to know how environmental education is taught in the Educational Unit, and what are the methodological strategies used in class. For which the knowledge of Environmental Education was diagnosed, then the methodological strategies used by the teachers were identified and finally the results obtained on the methodological strategies and Environmental Education were socialized. In order to comply with all the details, a bibliographical and field bibliographic investigation was carried out, taking a mixed approach, due to the analysis of quantitative and qualitative variables; where the study population consists of 30 students of upper basic education of the night shift to whom a survey was applied with a questionnaire of 11 questions related to the methodological strategies of environmental education; where the most significant results are that in their entirety the students consider methodological strategies important and very important for teaching and that the educational unit includes environmental education in their curriculum, so that students have an awareness of environmental care environment and a positive attitude change generating an active conservation in them. Therefore, it is concluded that methodological strategies in environmental education are of utmost importance to generate a positive impact on society
