Optimal Feed Rate Policy for Systems with Two Reactions

Abstract Optimization of batch processes operation is a natural choice for reducing production costs, improving product quality, and meeting safety and environmental regulations. The implementation of the optimal solution is straightforward if it is determined by the constraints of the optimization problem. This paper shows that such is the case for the majority of two-reaction systems taking place in semi-batch reactors.
