UN ANÁLISIS DE LAS EXPERIENCIAS DE VIRTUALIZACIÓN 3D DE MATERIALES ARQUEOLÓGICOS EN ARGENTINA

2021
The 3D digitization methodology generates an approach from the audiovisual experience to the archaeological materials. In Argentine archeology, these methodologies acquired great momentum from the implementation of Law 26,899 for the Creation of Institutional Digital Repositories of Open Access, Own or Shared. In addition, there is a National Network of Digital Archeology focused on 3D digitization for the preservation, communication and sharing of data. In this work we seek to reflect on the social relationships that such methodologies promote and the way in which they affect archaeological practice. To this end, we reveal a set of 3D virtualization projects for archaeological materials, through interviews with their referents and the survey of their virtual spaces. In this way, we problematize its impact on research and on the management of archaeological heritage, with the purpose of generating reflective inputs that provide feedback for the development of this type of virtualization experiences in Argentine archeology
