CONVENTIONAL SYNTHESIS AND BIOLOGICAL EVALUATION OF SOME NEW CHALCONES AND 1,5-BENZOTHIAZEPINES AS POTENTIAL ANTIMICROBIAL AGENTS

This paper describes the synthesis, characterization and biological evaluation of some new chalcones and 1,5-benzothiazepines. Since these classes of compounds were reported to possess various biological activities, all of these compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activities against selected gram positive, gram negative and fungi strains.
