Las cefaleas, sus terapias y riesgos potenciales de accidentalidad. La percepción subjetiva del paciente

2012
Concern for the side effects of alcohol, drugs and medicines used in the treatment of diseases, has been the subject of several studies in the medical literature. Particularly, related to the potential risk of causing traffic accidents with fatal results and it’s impact on population. This acquires a preventive dimension in the occupational world when the working conditions are related to the individual worker characteristics, especially when the work done involves regular driving, or when accidents happen commuting to work, the so-called "in itinere" labor accidents. In order to act on prevention, it is interesting to know the patient subjective perception, in this case, affected by headaches and subjected to more or less continuous therapies with one or several drugs. It is important to emphasize the way these therapies affect the patient’s personal conditions and the use of vehicles. With additional information a better preventive coordinated work can be done, both inside and outside the workplace, including both the affected patient and the doctor prescribing the drugs.
