Successful treatment of pyoderma gangrenosum associated with IgA gammopathy with the IL-1 receptor antagonist anakinra.

Pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) is a neutrophilic dermatosis which standard of care is systemic corticosteroids. The main alternatives in resistant forms include ciclosporin, TNF-alpha or IL-12/23 blockers1 . We report the case of a severe PG, resistant to 4 previous therapeutic lines, successfully treated with the IL-1 receptor antagonist anakinra.
