3‐(2‐Chlorophenyl)‐1‐(2‐naphthyl)‐2‐propen‐1‐one

The carbonyl group in the α,β-unsaturated ketone system of the title compound, C 19 H 13 ClO, is in an s-cis conformation. The naphthyl ring is twisted by 27.68 (5)° with respect to the phenyl ring. The naphthoyl group is trans to the chlorophenyl group.
