2007
20 years ago, the two companies KSG Kraftwerks-Simulator-Gesellschaft mbH and GfS Gesellschaft fur Simulatorschulung mbH have been founded for the operation of simulators and their use for the training of responsible nuclear power plant personnel. A Simulator Centre had been installed, which looks back on a period of successful training and enormous development. The partners are the German nuclear power plant operators of E.ON, RWE, EnBW, Vattenfall as well as the Dutch EPZ. They perform the simulator training for their operating personnel according to uniform standards and on high level, exploring all possible synergies. The Simulator Centre is a common enterprise, a competence centre and a service centre at the same time. These terms mean the programme. It says, that by this institution the utilities speak with one voice in this matter and can proof a consistent quality of their simulator training. This article reflects these demands and their realization and describes the relevant developments and experiences.
