Tuberothalamic infarction causing a central Horner syndrome with contralateral ataxia and paraphasia

2015
We report a case of a tuberothalamic artery (TTA) infarction causing Horner syndrome (HS) but without causing the classic associated neuropsychological symptoms. A classic TTA infarction is a neurological entity with neuropsychological symptoms due to the involvement of the anterior part of the thalamus, and rarely associated with HS, due to the involvement of the posterior part of the hypothalamus.
