Refractory coatings; Tugoplavkie pokrytiya

1973
Methods and technological schemes for making refractory coatings on machine parts and devices are discussed. Data are presented on physical and physico-technical properties, and work on the use of refractory coatings in metallurgy, machine construction, and equipment construction is discussed. The book is intended for engineering technology and scientific workers in the metallurgical, machine-construction, chemical, power, and other branches of industry and also for co-workers in organizations for scientific research on properties of materials. (l31 figures, l08 tables, 462 references) (tr-auth) l309O Changes were found in the electrical properties of quasiamorphous films of pyrolytic chromium alloyed with carbon in the process of self-decay of the agent due to thermal neutron irradiation. With increase in the neutron flux from 10/ sup 13/ to 5 x 10/sup 16 n/cm/sup 2, the impure chromium film conductivity changed by several orders of magnitude. The nonlinear nature of the conductivity after annealing was related to the appearance in the structure of impure chromium of active capture centers, related to the presence in the matrix of quasi- amorphous chromium and atoms of carbon.
