Local alloying of sintered hard-metal parts

1986
This paper develops a method of introducing alloying additions into predetermined areas or portions of sintered parts. The phenomenon of high-temperature absorption of metallic melts was utilized by sintered nonporous hard-metal parts. Results of experiments are examined on the alloying of sintered tungsten carbide-nickel hard metals.
