Holder for heating coils

The invention relates to a support for heating elements in a heater array for radiation heating of a thermal process plant, wherein the sections of the spiral turns of the heating coils are fixed in brackets. By the invention a holder is to be created, on the one hand safely fixes the heating coil and on the other hand allows a good and uniform compensation of thermally induced expansion and contraction operations. This is achieved in that the holder as a along the heating coil (4) extending support tube (5) is provided with slots (7) in the distance of the spiral turns (6) of the heating coil (4) for receiving in each case a peripheral portion ( 8) is provided, such that the peripheral portion (8) in the slot (7) at two contact points (9) to the support tube (5) is in contact and that (for the fixation of the circumferential portion 8) in the slot (7) of the supporting tube (5) a straight wire (10), a further contact point with the circumferential portion (8) forming provided, which in the interspace (11) between located that in the slot (7) peripheral portion (8) of the spiral (6) and the tube wall of the supporting tube (5) through all the peripheral portions (8) of successive spiral turns (6) of the heating coil (4) is inserted.
