Automatic speech technologies can provide an objective and memoryconstant analysis of how probable a suspect is as the perpertrator. Traditional techniques as speaker identification and verification can be used to determine the identity of a criminal. Speech technologies can also be used to create a profile of a perpertrator. Lie detecting claims to be a speech technology but there is no evidence that supports the claim.
