A NEW SPECIES OF Altiplania KOEHLER IN THE NATIONAL PARK LLANOS DEL CHALLE, (IV REGIÓN, CHILE) (LEPIDOPTERA: NOCTUIDAE: CUCULLIINAE) UNA NUEVA ESPECIE DE Altiplania KOEHLER EN EL PARQUE NACIONAL LLANOS DEL CHALLE, (IV REGIÓN, CHILE) (LEPIDOPTERA: NOCTUIDAE: CUCULLIINAE)

A new species of the genus Altiplania Koehler is described through its features: genitalia of the male and spots arrangement on wings. Its description is based in a comparison between the specimens from the Pena Collection and those in the Scientific Collections of the University of Concepcion (UCSC) with other types from species in the Collection and Institute Miguel Lillo, Tucuman, Argentine, and preparation of genitalia sensu Angulo and Weigert (1977). A key is presented for the separation of the species in the genus. The new species is comparable to A. luetscheri Koehler in the genitalia of the male, whilst it resembles A. maculata Koehler in the wings maculation.
