Sensorless Speed Regulation Through AI Controller in Induction Motor

2021
This paper presents a novel sensorless artificial neural network (ANN) controller for induction drive function. Discrepancies between the actual plant and the mathematical model developed for controller design would usually occur in formulating any control problem. This discrepancy may be due to unmodeled dynamics, variation in system parameters or a straightforward model approximating complex plant behavior. Despite these plant/model inconsistencies, the designer must ensure that the resulting controller is able to achieve the necessary output levels in action through proposed controller. For validation of concept, the ANN controller is implemented using MATLAB®/Simulink environment. The results show that under the above operating conditions, the proposed ANN offers a very satisfactory speed estimate and can achieve very robust and efficient results and can be used for achieving the desired levels of efficiency.
