A study on the problem and improvement of ‘Saturday sport day’ recognized by instructors through focus group interview(FGI)

The purpose of this study was to derive the problems of "Saturday sport day" and the improvement direction to solve them through focus group interview with the "Saturday sport day" instructor. To achieve the objectives of this study, focus group interviews were conducted as research methods, and 7 instructors were designated. Focus group interview results showed that the upper categories were "problems of free lecture", "difference in ability" and "environmental constraint" due to problems with "Saturday sport day." Sub-categories that follow were "the occurrence of students with poor attendance", "senior and junior students take classes at the same time." ‘the difference in ability between students’, "to enforce a class even in too hot or cold weather" and "deficient parking facilities". The improvement was derived from "promote participation by changing the system", "the operation of classes by skill" and "cooperation with the school". Sub-categories included "payment of a certain portion of the tuition", "benefits to good participants", "need to operate the division based on grades and skills when there are a large number of students", "configuring a class with a level test", "elastic operation according to weather or school schedule." and "provision of space for classes’.
