W eanalyzed globalproperties,radialproles,and 2D m apsofthem etalabundancesand tem perature in the coolcore clusterofgalaxiesHydra A using a deep � 120 ksXM M -Newton exposure.The besttam ong the available spectralm odels is provided by a G aussian distribution ofthe em ission m easure (gdem ).W e can accurately determ ine abundancesfor7 elem ents in the clustercore with EPIC (O ,Si,S,Ar,Ca,Fe,Ni)and 3 elem ents (O ,Ne,Fe) with RG S.The gdem m odelgives lower Fe abundancesthan a single-tem perature m odel. Based on this,we explain why sim ulations show that the best-�t Fe abundance in clusters with interm ediate tem peraturesisoverestim ated.The abundanceprolesforFe,Si,S,butalso O are centrally peaked.Com bining the Hydra A resultswith 5 otherclustersforwhich detailed chem icalabundancestudiesare available,wend a signicantdecreasein O with radius,whiletheincreasein theO /Feratiowith radiusissm allwithin 0.1 r200,where the O abundances can be accurately determ ined,with d(O =Fe)=d(log 10 r=r200) = 0:25 � 0:09.W e com pare the observed abundanceratioswith them ixingofvarioussupernovatypeIaand core-collapseyield m odelsin dierent relative am ounts.Producing the estim ated O ,Si,and S peaksin Hydra A requireseitherthe am ountofm etals ejected by stellar winds to be 3{8 tim eshigher than predicted by available m odels orthe initialenrichm entby core-collapse supernovaein the protoclusterphase notto be aswellm ixed on large scalesaspreviously thought. The tem perature m ap shows cooler gas extending in arm -like structures towards the north and south.These structures,and especially thenorthern one,appearto bericherin m etalsthan theam bientm edium and spatially correlated with the large-scale radio lobes.W ith dierentsetsofassum ptions,we estim ate the m assofcoolgas, which wasprobably uplifted by buoyantbubblesofrelativisticplasm aproduced by theAG N,to1:6 6:1� 10 9 M � , and theenergy associated with thisupliftto 3:3 12:5 � 10 58 ergs.The bestestim ate ofthem assofFe uplifted togetherwith the coolgasis1:7 � 10 7 M � ,15% ofthetotalm assofFein thecentral0.5 0 region.
