New ruthenium(II) dicarbonyl compounds series

Complexes of the general formula RuC1 2 (Co) 2 L 2 in which L is pyridine, 2 and 3-aminopyridine, pyridin1 -oxyde, quinoline, 8-hydroxyquinoline have been prepared and characterized by analytical data, IR, UV-visible spectroscopy and magnetic and conductivity measurements. The data are consistent with the complexes involving octahedrical, low spin Ru(II) ions.
