The digital designing method includes the steps: A, acquiring three-dimensional model data of a dental crown in the mouth of a patient through an intraoral scanner; B, acquiring a smile image when the patient opens his or her mouth and a dental crown image when the patient opens his or her mouth fully; C, converting the two-dimensional smile image into a three-dimensional image through 2D-to-3D software; D, combining the three-dimensional model data with the three-dimensional image to form a 3D model when the patient smiles; E, designing a patient smile curve on the dental crown image; F, according to the patient smile curve and the 3D model, designing a virtual dental crown veneer, and stacking the virtual dental crown veneer at a corresponding position of the smile image. By the method, the dental crown veneer is pre-designed, simulative wearing trials are performed, and the patient can see expected effect before restoration of the dental crown; a dental crown restoring scheme can be adjusted according to preference of the patient, and after the restoring scheme is confirmed by the patient, the dental crown veneer can be made according to the confirmed scheme, so that the circumstance that the patient is not satisfied with the effect is avoided.
