Astrocytes were important glial cells which played an crucial role in the energetic metabolism, signal transduction and electrical activities in neurons. The energetic metabolism of astrocytes after cerebral ischemia affected neurons' survival and brain function.
Objective
To explore a new treatment strategy for cerebral ischemia on the basis of energetic metabolism of astrocytes.
