Acute lymphocytic choriomeningitis: A study of twenty-one cases

1949
Summary 1. Twenty-one patients with lymphocytic choriomeningitis are presented. The clinical and laboratory features of the disease are discussed in detail. 2. The differential diagnosis is outlined and the point is emphasized that only a presumptive diagnosis is possible on clinical grounds in this disease, the final proof being the isolation of the virus from the patient's blood or spinal fluid, or the demonstration of an increasing titer of antibody in the patient's blood following the acute illness.
