Leakage current of arrester is normally in ranges of 200~300uA and increases as ages. The deterioration of arrester may cause a line-to-ground fault, so many researches have been carried out to prevent accidents. With this background, this paper described an aging indicator of lightning arrester installed in feeder lines. The aging indicator uses an arrester disconnector which is installed between the ground terminal of arrester and a grounding wire, and LED is turned on by leakage current flowing the arrester when the arrester is deteriorated over 500uA.
