Electrophysical and static magnetic properties nickel-containing composites based on solvent-crazed polymer matrices

1998
Introduction of minor amounts of metallic nickel to solvent-crazed polymer (polypropylene) matrices allowed preparation of polymer composites with various electric properties up to those of conductors. As a result of the structurization of the filler associated with the morphology of the initial matrix, the composites are characterized by a low value of volume concentration of the filler (1-2 vol %), at which the percolation threshold for conductivity is attained. The percolation threshold for conductivity and dielectric permeability may be varied by controlling the dimensions and compactness of the metallic layer formed in polymer matrix.
