Activity of Antioxidant Enzymes of PFOS Pollution on Eisenia foetida

2013
Impact of different exposure concentrations of perfluorooctane sulfonic acid(PFOS) to the enzyme activity of CAT,SOD,GSH-PX and CYP450 in Eisenia foetida by the method of artificial soil was studied. Results showed that the sensitivity of indicators could be ranked in order to most to least effective as CYP450,CAT,GSH-PX and SOD.Artificial soil test of PFOS induced the increase in CYP450 activity and restricted the CAT activity, indicating the biological response between PFOS exposure concentrations and earthworm CYP450,CAT,SOD.Under the conditions of the test at the 4 th day and 50 mg/kg treatment group, the activity of CAT was 2.83 times that of the control group, and activity of SOD reached 190.769 U/mgprot,2.19 times that of the control group. In 12.5 mg/kg treatment group, the activity of GSH-PX was the highest, and content of CYP450 was 3.85 times that of the control group. The exposure concentration of PFOS and activity of CAT and SOD have dose-response relationship,at section 4d the activity of CAT,GSH-PX and content of CYP450 can be used as a biomarker in PFOS environmental pollution diagnosis, which would provide a scientific basis for the feasibility of Eisenia foetida antioxidase and CYP450 as early diagnosis and ecological risk monitoring biological markers.
