A INTERVENÇÃO DA PSICOLOGIA: TENTATIVAS DE SUICÍDIO E URGÊNCIA HOSPITALAR

The purpose of this paper is to present an intervention project psychology service in an emergency hospital in the city of Campos dos Goytacazes, RJ, Brazil. Considering the high prevalence of suicide attempts in the municipality and the care provided in the Ready Hospital Relief in recent years, has built an assistance project in the Psychology Service operates from the host to the patients and their families during medical treatment and the necessary subsequent referrals. Following a predetermined flow, after medical treatment, the psychologist (on duty 24 hours) performs the first evaluation of the patient in the emergency room, a follow-up care through unique listening, provides necessary guidance for the patient to continue treatment in the network health, responsible for the hospital after discharge. This work aims to place the patient in the mental health system, taking as a starting point the psychological care in the emergency room in order to reduce the recurrence of suicide attempts. The partnership established with the Hospital surveillance industry, notifying the cases attended for further epidemiological study has been of fundamental importance for achieving the goals. It is intended that the project will be the starting point for the expansion of reference calls in the mental health network of the municipality.
