HDR-IORT for Colorectal Cancer

The clinical experience with high dose rate intraoperative radiation therapy (HDR-IORT) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) for primary unresectable, or locally recurrent colorectal cancer has been previously published in preliminary form (1,2), and has recently been updated (3,4). The updated IORT data will be presented in this chapter (see Chapters 14 and 15 for expanded discussion of the natural history in non-IORT patients).
