Discussion of effectively protecting China's energy security

In recent years,China's dependence on foreign energy,especially dependence on foreign oil is rising fast.Future energy imports face unfavorable factors including obvious contradiction between supply and demand,fluctuations in the market price risks,intense competition for resources.A number of measures to safeguard our energy security,must be taken from the two major aspects of broadening sources and reducing expenditure,e.g.accelerating the exploration and development of conventional oil and gas resources,developing unconventional oil and gas resources,diversifying alternative to oil and gas,expanding the scale of clean energy applications,optimizing the industrial structure and layout,promoting energy efficiency and strengthening the management of energy use.
