Impact of implementation of the balancing mechanism on deviations of Kosovo power system

This paper presents analyses of the impact of balancing mechanism implementation on the balance quality of the Kosovo power system. To study this impact, the area control error is considered as one of the most important indicators of system operation and balancing quality. The model is constructed according to the assumption of normal distribution and based on it with numerical examples the area control error is analyzed before and after the implementation of the balancing mechanism. The aim is to conclude about the impact of the balancing mechanism on the quality of the system balancing and evaluate its performance based on the results of numerical examples.
