Morphology and Breeding Behavior

This chapter intends to brief novices and first-time sorghum researchers with the basics of the sorghum plant’s morphological features, growth stages, and breeding behavior. The growth and development of the sorghum plant is described as consisting of nine stages. The breeding behavior and pollination mechanism are described for often-cross-pollinated crops.
