Diagnosis and treatment of intussusception due to multiple jejunal lipomas

Adult intussusception is an unusual and challenging disease in clinical practice. There is usually a primary disease in adult intussusception, both malignant and benign. Small intestinal lipoma is rare and is mostly found when it cause intussusception. In December 2011 , an adult patients with intussusception caused by multiple jejunal lipomas was admitted to the Changhai Hospital of Second Military Medical University. The results of computed tomography showed a distinct"target sign"with circle area of thick low density. Adult intussusception should be treated scrupulously according to certain diagnosis and treatment procedures. Key words: Intussusception, adult; Lipoma; Diagnosis; Therapy
