There is provided a 5- enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase (the EPSPS) fusion protein encoding gene, and a method for obtaining the fusion protein. Also provides the use in cultivation of plants in the glyphosate resistant 5- enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase fusion protein.
