Simulation of the MARIOS experiment: Irradiation of Am-enriched pellets in the HFR

Summary – In this work, all four experimental pins containing six pellets each included in the MARIOS experiment have been simulated by means of the burn-up code EVOLCODE 2.0. Local parameters as radial power profiles and selected isotopic compositions profiles have been assessed for pellets under different irradiation conditions. These results will help to improve understanding of key physical magnitudes such as temperature profile, local burnup and helium gas generation and will be validated after the realization of the Post Irradiation Examinations.
