Analysis of antimicrobial drug use before and after classification management in emergency and outpatient of our hospital

Objective To investigate the clinical medication changes of antimicrobial drug after classifi-cation management in emergency and out-patient of our hospital. Methods Classification management of antimicro-bial drug were carried out according to non-restricted use, special use and restricted use in different range of application. Results The usage rate of antimicrobial drug decreased from 69% to 50%, the reasonable utilization rate increases from 59% to 78%. Triple combined drug-used rate of antimicrobial agents decreased from 8.4% to 2% and the past four and five combined use of antimicrobial drugs did not exist. The usage rate of non-restricted use antimicrobial agents and restricted use agents increased 13.74% and 3.97% respectively, while the usage rate of special use of antimicrobial agents dropped to 0.5%. Conclusion The classification management of antimicrobial drug should raise medical workers' awareness of rational drug use.
