Distribution of organochlorine pesticide residues in soils in Guanting Reservoir

2004
The concentrations of several Organochlorinated Pesticides in soil samples collected around Guanting Reservior were detected. Concentrations of HCH ranged from non-detectable to 19.63?ng·g~(-1) with an average of 0.50?ng·g~(-1); and coencentrations of DDT ranged from non-detectable to 176.01?ng·g~(-1) with an average of 4.42?ng·g~(-1), respectively. The concentrations of other Organochlorinated pesticides such as heptachlor, aldrin, and dieldrin were not detected. Statistical methods were used to study the distribution and contamination of HCH and DDT in Guanting Reservoir soils. Soil type is a significant factor for the difference of concentrations of HCH and DDT in Guanting reservoir soils, while sampling location is not a significant factor for the difference.
