The present invention discloses an authentication method for dynamically adjusting the frequency of updating revocation list, for a certificate authority, comprising: receiving the proximity of the security certificate authority index within a neighborhood; detecting whether the certificate authority using the received revoked certificate event signal, and calculates a security level; calculate a degree of security estimate for the index by the proximity security level and the security level; and value adjustment a certificate revocation list update frequency based on the security level estimate.
