Provided is a transparent conductive material which has low electrical resistance. A transparent conductive material which is formed of a zinc oxide that contains Al, Cu and Ga. The Zn content relative to the total of Zn, Ga, Cu and Al is 96.75 at% or more; the total content of Cu and Al relative to the total of Zn, Ga, Cu and Al is 1 at% or less; and the Ga content relative to the total of Zn, Ga, Cu and Al is 0.75 at% or more.
