Template-Assisted Self-Sulfuration Formation of MoS2 Nanosheets Embedded in Ordered Mesoporous Carbon for Lithium Storage

2019
An easy and ecofriendly solid-phase self-sulfuration method is developed to embed ultrathin MoS2 nanosheets within N-/S-doped mesoporous carbon (MoS2@mC) through solvent-free template-assisted pyrolysis. The resultant MoS2@mC features multiple structural and compositional add-in merits, including nanoconfined MoS2, a mesoporous framework, and N-/S-doped graphitized carbon, thus exhibiting improved reversible discharge capacity and rate capability in lithium storage. The present work thus paves a green way to synthesize other kinds of metal sulfides@mC composite materials for possible practical applications.
