Analysis on Application Effect of Comfort Care in Oral Operation Patients

Objective To investigate the effect of application of comfort care mode in oral operation patients. Methods 120 patients in stomatology department from March 2010 to October 2012 were selected as the research object and divided into two groups. 62 cases of the observation received the comfort care, while 59 cases of the control received routine nursing. The oral health knowledge, service satisfaction scores and the average hospitalization time of two groups were compared. Results The observation group had higher oral health knowledge score and service satisfaction scores, compared with the control (both P 0.01); the observation group had less average hospitalization days compared with the control group (P 0.05). Conclusions Comfort care can make the patients master more oral health knowledge, improve nursing service satisfaction, improve the nurse-patient relationship, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
