Evaluation of mental workload of sea pilot and captain using salivary NO 3

2016
The mental workload is focused as one of factors causing daily life disease. The goal of this study is that we eventually relieve the mental workload in maritime society we are familiar to. To achieve the goal, we adopt physiological indices to evaluate the mental workload. However, physiological indices are not perfectly reliable as evaluation methods of the mental workload. We aim salivary NO 3 − considering as one of the handy physiological indices. This paper shows that we are carried out experiments for sea pilots, navigators, and port coordinators using salivary NO 3 − index, and we develop the index compared to another index: R-R Interval is popular for transportation fields.
