The invention discloses a head-mounted display and a video data processing method of a head-mounted display. The head-mounted display comprises a video input module, a distortion processing module and a video output module. The head-mounted display, according to the figure corresponding relation of an image after distortion processing, divides each image frame in a video into multiple image blocks with symmetry, performs the distortion processing on any one image block, and then according to the figure corresponding relation, obtains data of a current image frame after the distortion processing. According to the technical scheme provided by the invention, through partitioning on each image frame, the image data in the video is transmitted and processed by taking a block as a unit, a conventional scheme of taking a frame as a unit in the prior art is replaced, and accordingly, the problem of limited internal storage space is avoided; and for one image frame, the distortion processing on the whole image frame can be finished simply by selection of a single image block, such that the distortion processing efficiency of the video data is greatly improved, the video playing smoothness is guaranteed, and better visual experience is provided for a user.
