DESCRIPTION OF NATATOLANA NEGLECTA (HANSEN, 1890) (PERACARIDA, ISOPODA) FROM SPANISH WATERS

Natatolana neglecta (Hansen, 1890) is described based on specimens collected from Galicia, northwestern Spain (northeastern Atlantic) and compared with material from Spanish collections and from the type locality (Naples, Mediterranean Sea). The species has rarely been recorded from the European Atlantic as there are only a few records, but the population appears to be common in the Ria de Arousa. New data on morphology and photos of live specimens are provided for the first time.
