On the solution of the PBE with agglomeration and random growth rate dispersion

Abstract Solutions to the population balance equation, with the diffusivity term added, for a steady-state MSMPR crystallizer with agglomeration are presented. These solutions are obtained using two different sets of boundary conditions, and are examined in detail to obtain information on the initial conditions. Furthermore, we suggest conditions that may be helpful in discriminating and/or choosing suitable models.
