Pulmonary Metastasis of Malignant Meningioma.

2004
Malignant intracranial meningioma is an uncommom disease which compose 10% of all intracranial meningiomas. Extracranial metastasis of malignant meningioma has been well established and has been estimated to be less than 0.1 % of all intracranial meningiomas. Metastatic lesions are often asymptomatic and rarely lead to death. The target organs of extracranial metastasis were recognized as lung, liver, lymph node, bone, kidney, and other organs. We report a case of malignant meningioma with lung metastasis which was diagnosed 8 years ago, and discuss the management of intracranial and pulmonary malignant meningioma. The literatures on pulmonary metastatic malignant meningioma were reviewed.
