Objetos de aprendizaje para la interpretación geométrica de métodos numéricos: uso de GeoGebra

2017
The rapid development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has fostered its incorporation and use within several educational projects in order to enhance teaching and learning processes. In this context and under the research project "Simulation and Computational Methods in Science and Education", from the Department of Applied Computing, Faculty of Computer Science at the National University of Comahue, within the line of research "Use and development of ICT", there is a continued progress in the design of dynamic learning objects (LO). In this paper, we present two interactive LO which were developed using the GeoGebra tool in order to aid the understanding of theoretical concepts and the geometric interpretation of various numerical methods. Particularly, the Newton Raphson method was used for solving nonlinear equations while the Trapezoidal Rule was used for solving integrals. The design and functionality of each LO is shown. LO will be used as a complementary tool in the theoretical and practical resources in the subject "Computational Methods for Calculus" of the Bachelor degree in Computer Science.
