Fever is a common problem in intensive care unit patients. The presence of fever frequently results in the use of unnecessary antibiotic therapy and procedures that increase medical costs. Intensive care unit patients frequently have multiple infectious and noninfectious causes of fever. So it is necessary a systematic and comprehensive diagnostic approach.
