The invention discloses a pulse eddy current probe for a pipeline, comprising a base, guide columns, exciting coils and receiving coils, wherein the base is a cylinder with the opened upper end and the closed lower end; an end cover is arranged on the opened end; the base is coaxially arranged at the bottom of a shell; the guide columns are arranged on the end cover; a spring is sleeved on the guide columns; one end of the spring connected with the end cover in a propping manner, and the other end of the spring is connected with the upper end of the shell in a propping manner; the exciting coils and the receiving coils are sleeved internally and externally and are coaxially arranged at the bottom inside the base; and the inner diameters of the receiving coils are greater than the outer diameters of the exciting coils. When the pulse eddy current probe is used for detection, the bottom of the shell is placed on the outer wall of the pipeline, the base is in contact with the outer wall of the pipeline, the exciting coils generate a primary jump magnetic field, so that a detected area senses a transient eddy current to generate a secondary magnetic field, the secondary magnetic field is received by the receiving coils, and the wall thickness of the detected area can be measured. By using the pulse eddy current probe for the pipeline, the automatic centering between the probe and the pipeline can be realized in the detection process, the detection efficiency can be effectively improved, and signal fluctuation caused by eccentricity and shaking in the detection process of the current pulse eddy current probe is overcome.
