Simulation Of The Etex First Release By Bulgarian Emergency Response Models

The Bulgarian team takes part in the ATMES-II with two models. ATMES-II (Atmospheric Transport Model Evaluation Study) is an international verification of long-range dispersion models using the results of European Tracer Experiments (ETEX) first release and a common meteorological data set, prepared by ECMWF. The first Bulgarian model is the puff-type model LED currently used in the Bulgarian Emergency Response System (BERS) the creation and development of which was highly stimulated by ETEX. The second model is the newly created Eulerian multi-level model EMAP.
