Imidobisphosphoric acid, its production and use thereof

1995
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce the subject compound useful for the prophylaxis and treatment of degenerative joint disorders, osteoporosis and hypercalcemia with slight adverse effects. SOLUTION: This compound (salt) is represented by formula I [R 1 is a 1-10C (substituted) alkyl, a 1-8C (substituted) alkanoyl, a 6-10C (substituted) aryl or the like; R 2 to R 5 are each H, a 1-5C alkyl, Li or an Si(R) (R is a 1-5C alkyl) or the like], e.g. tetraethyl N-cycloheptylimidophosphate. The compound is obtained by reacting, e.g. an alkyl imidobisphosphite represented by formula II (R 2 to R 5 are each a 1-5C alkyl) with an oxygen-transferring agent such as hydrogen peroxide and then, as necessary, reacting the resultant compound with an alkylhalosilane in an inert solvent, providing a tetratrimethylsilylimidophosphate, further, as necessary, converting the resultant compound into the corresponding salt by hydrolysis or using a basic salt. The compound can intravenously, intramuscularly, intraperitoneally, subcutaneously, intraarticularly, periarticularly, intrarectally or orally be administered. COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
