Multifunctional textile auxiliary composition

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional textile auxiliary compsn. which is free of a silicone, is excellent in storage stability, emulsifying properties, biodegradability, etc., is stable in an alkaline bath, and is useful as a cleaning agent, etc. SOLUTION: This compsn. comprises (A) 10-60 wt.% nonionic surfactant of formula I (wherein R 1 is 8-22C alkyl or 8-22C alkenyl; Alkylene is 2-4C alkylene; and m 1 is 1-40), (B) 10-60 wt.% reaction product of a nonionic surfactant of formula II (wherein R 2 is R 1 ; and R 3 is H, benzyl or the like) with an ethylenically unsatd. sulfonic or carboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof, (C) 4-20 wt.% hydrotropic agent, (D) 0-20 wt.% nonionic surfactant of formula III (wherein R 4 is 9-14C alkyl; R 5 is 1-8C alkyl, styryl or the like; Y 1 to Y 4 are each H, CH 3 or the like; P 1 is 4-10; and P 2 is 0-8), (E) 0-8 wt.% Mg salt of an org. carboxylic acid, (F) 0-30 wt.% chelating or sequestering agent, (G) 0-10 wt.% diol or polyol, and (H) 0-60 wt.% water, provided one of ingredients E, F and G is always contained.
