Determination of Free Ammonia in Sound Insulation Cotton Felt

An analytical method was presented for the determination of free ammonia in sound insulation cotton felt by Nessler’s reagent spectrophotometry.The analytical conditions including the proper extraction temperature and extraction time were optimized.The proposed method has been applied to the analysis of sound insulation cotton felt with recovery in the range of 97%～109%.
